On Sunday 28th April Sha Tin will host the first International Race of 2013. Of 14 runners, 7 are European exports and 3 are International runners.

CALIFORNIA MEMORY (formerly known as PORTUS BLENDIUM) trained by A S Cruz, will start from stall 1, the seven year old has five Hong Kong Group races to his name.

MILITARY ATTACK (formerly known as RAVE) trained by J Moore, will start from stall 3, has won two Group races from his last two starts including the Hong Kong Gold Cup.

IRIAN also trained by J Moore, will start from stall 5, is a two time Group winner in Germany and a consistent performer in Hong Kong.

ZAIDAN another stalwart of J Moore's stable, drawn in stall 14, won a Listed race in England before being exported to Hong Kong.

AKEED MOFEED trained by R Gibson, will start from stall 4, is the 2013 Hong Kong Derby winner and has shown plenty of ability in both Ireland and Hong Kong.

ASHKIYR, drawn in stall 11, will have his fourth start for trainer J Moore at Sha Tin on Sunday.

CRACKERJACK (formerly known as YANG TSE KIANG) trained by D Cruz, will break from stall 2, was second in last years UAE Derby (Gr 2) and Prix De Conde (Gr 3).

Champion South African mare IGUGU and ex A P O'Brien trained TREASURE BEACH will represent M F de Kock in Sunday's Group 1. IGUGU, drawn in stall 10, had a seven race unbeaten record before arriving in Dubai and connections are hopeful that the right-handed track will help her get back to her best. TREASURE BEACH will have his fourth start for his new trainer, starting from stall 12, the five year old globetrotter has three Group race wins to his name.

There is a chance that the above two horses may go on to Singapore to contest in the Internaional Race meeting on Sunday 19th May. Good luck to all connections involved.
